Whatever happened to it?

I've been studiously ignoring New Mutant reunions, but if Ilyana
Rasputin is back and has Magik power, she'll have the soul sword too.

version of the SoulSword!

I thought it was the same one...it got passed around quite a bit after
Illyana died.

I thought she passed it on to Kitty as well.

But when Magik was teaching Pixie to make a soul sword, it was using
Pixie's own soul. (She ended up with a Soul Dagger because she didn't
use her whole soul.)

She didn't have it at first...she had to take it back from
Nightcrawler who had it hidden inside him during his own short-lived
series (either by Amanda Sefton or her mother).

I would suggest you give the current New Mutants series a
chance...it's actually been surprisingly good so far although I would
prefer it wasn't just the old line-up...I think attempts to recapture
classic line-ups almost always fail because something new needs to be
added to the mix.
